San Diego Day 1

Well, you saw pictures of the hotel and it is fabulous!!! But, the kids were itching to get to Sea World so off we went.
We thought we would head over to the dolphins and see about feeding them. We did this last time and it was really fun to have them come right up to you and let you touch them and give them a fish. The wait was about 45 minutes and the kids were not having that and that also meant not spending the money to buy the fish so that was okay with Mike and I too. We did go up to the dolphin area but, none of the dolphins were coming anywhere close to the edge.
So, we decided to check out the Sea Otters (who where fighting LOL!) and then off to the tide pools and aquarium.
At the aquarium we saw this enormous fish that seriously was as big as Mike. It was quite scary to see a normal fish that big.
The kids planned our every minute of this trip and they did not let us back out of anything we "Said" we would do. Here they are studying the map at Sea World.
I also got to look at these turtles up close. I thought they were awesome.
We also hit the sky tower, Atlantis (every one's favorite) and Wild Arctic.
Of course, you cannot see Sea World without watching the shows. We went into the Believe show and Boston practically ran to the area where the Whales jump up on a platform and got us some amazing seats. They were in the soak zone (which means you will get splashed on) but, since Mike and the kids were already wet and I did not mind it was okay. Believe was amazing as always. We also got to see the new Dolphin show Blue Horizons and it was very cool with new acrobatic acts and a new story. It was so good. After a couple of more times down Atlantis we were done for the day and the kids still wanted to swim in the pool at the hotel. So, we headed back for a relaxing afternoon or beach and pool time.
More walks on the beach and sitting in front of the bonfire at the pool. We wanted to see if we could see the fireworks from Sea World but, the previous night we all crashed while waiting for them to start. The only way this was going to happen was to be out and about and not in our room. Otherwise, the same thing would happen again tonight. So, we sat by the fire at the pool. But, who knew what would happen after 9:00 pm at the pool. We had to leave because it was quite apparent we were not welcome by the crowd at the hot tub. Things looked to become R rated soon so we headed over to the beach to see if we could see the fireworks from there. Too bad, there were trees in the view so it would have to wait until tomorrow night. It was a great day and we were all so tired. We headed to bed.
