We did not have any huge plans for the weekend. All that was planned was Liz, Tony, Cody, and Brandon were going to come to see us. They also brought along Mandy.
Is Mandy's haircut not ADORABLE??!!! I thought it was sooo cute.
We spent Saturday evening just hanging out in the backyard and playing!! It was a little chilly for July but, it was nice enough to spend some time outside.

Sunday was pretty relaxing we did not have anything but just hanging out planned. Liz brought some water balloons and the kids were more than willing to fill them up for a water fight. Mike was a trooper and tied all of those balloons. LOL!! I think he enjoyed it too.
There were even some baby ones filled. LOL!!! Too funny.
After getting a little wet with the water balloon fight they kids wanted more so we put up the slip n' slide. Brooke and Boston were pros but the little guys needed some encouraging. It was cute to see the cousins playing.We even tried to use a solar smore oven that Boston had done at school. It was not quite warm enough to melt the marshmallows so we improvised and put the smores in the broiler to finish cooking. They were pretty tasty.
Mike and Tony took the kids to pick out some fireworks. They have done this the last couple of years and the kids LOVE it. They were so excited to get started that the wait began at about 5:00. We just hung out in the front yard, messed around, rode s
Finally, we broke out a few sparklers and smoke bombs to keep the kids entertained.
Finally, it was dark enough to start and the kids each took a turn picking out a fireworks and taking them to Mike for lighting. They did this until every last one was lit.
And the mesmerized looks on their faces as they watched them go off.

It was a great time!!
Today Mike was off so it was another relaxing day and a little catch up time. It has been another great 4th of July.
