An afternoon at Snowbird
Sunday, July 13, 2008

Mike got off of work early Saturday so we drove up to snowbird to enjoy the mountains and of course the Alpine Slide. The kids love this slide! It is a good thing you have to take the chairlift up to the top of the slide and wait in line a while because after about 4 or 5 times down the kids get nervy and race. This could be a dangerous thing. If your arm of legs grace the sides of the slide it will give you burns. Boston was actually racing me and forgot to put on the brakes at the bottom and ran smack into the big cushion that is placed (not so professionally) at the bottom of the slide. Oops! It was a really fun afternoon.

We also rode the Tram to the top of Hidden Peek 1100 ft. It was quite chilly up there. There was alot of smoke from the California fires and you could not see the Valley very well but it was still beautiful. You can see that there is still quite a bit a snow.
The kids also waited in line forever for the bungee tramp. They kept trying to do flips. Boston actually was able to complete on but, Brooke did not get a flip in maybe next time.

How fun!!! We went twice this year and I am anxious to go a couple more times before the snow. It's my new favorite summer hangout. I seriously wish they had summer season passes.
